Company
A national company dedicated to the automation of redundant business processes through interactive applications using data and telecommunications technology. The company specializes in automating business travel negotiation by using computer systems to eliminate the amount of paper between companies and to alleviate repetitive data entry.

Project
Automate business travel negotiation by utilizing the Internet as a mechanism to manage and sort reports and reduce form creation time by pre-filling reports with standard company information. Our task was to evaluate the current web-based system and design an improved system that met additional business requirements. Using a three-tiered business object model to provide for scalability and maintainability, we were able to successfully meet their existing and future needs. After the evaluation and design was complete, the time to market required an accelerated schedule which only allowed for a portion of the new system requirements. The existing system was stabilized and enhanced to meet the customer demands adding much needed functionality and improving ease of use. The complete system design is scheduled to move forward after release of the interim product and pending market feedback.

Solution
C-sharp worked in cooperation with the existing development staff to evaluate the current system and integrate the changes required to bring the product to market within the short market window. The system was originally written using a Microsoft Access Database which was first converted to Microsoft SQL 6.5 before starting the improvements. This allowed for extended flexibility with stored procedures and was better suited to handle the data requirements placed on the system. Additional features were added using Microsoft Active Server pages that expanded upon the existing server side scripting. We were able to quickly ramp up on the existing product and provide the customer with a solution that would meet their market window and customer expectations
